Social commitment

Social commitment is a basic prerequisite for the coexistence of societies. The pivotal engine of the Hilti Foundation's social commitment is the guiding principle "Building a better future“.

For many years we have been cooperating with the international charitable organization Ashoka with a main emphasis on Egypt and South America, promoting social enterprise in the poorer social strata under the motto "Help for self-help".

A further key project is located in the Near East. In cooperation with the social aid programme of the Protestant churches in Switzerland (HEKS) mobile clinics have been set up to provide basic medical care in the isolated Palestinian territories.
